Sharing: Be Still.. and then what?
Sharing: Be Still.
“Be Still and Know that I am God.” (Psalms 46:17)
I know you know this “Bible Verse” very well if you are a Bible Reader. It is one of the Common verses we hear from Christians. But sometimes, us Christians.. we forget to “Be Still” and “know that He is God”.
We trust people more than we trust God. We trust our Dentists, Doctors, we trust police, we trust our parents (I am not saying do not trust them) but we trust them more than we trust God.
But why? Why do we trust these people rather than God? Some people answered “Because we see them, that is why we can cooperate with them.”
Wait. you got a point there.. but that’s the word you are forgetting once you trust God.
What is it?
God’s Amazing Love
His love is unquestionable-
Its power unconquerable,
Its meaning undeniable,
Its mystery unexplainable,
Its sacrifice incomparable,
Its price unimaginable,
Its absence unthinkable!
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
The Power of God
Nothing transcends the power of God. Whether our difficulty is from satan, others, self-inflicted, or experienced in the process of our obedience, it is God’s prerogative to rearrange, reconstruct, reinterpret, and realign the situation to bring glory and praise to His name - Joseph Stowell
For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him - 2 Chronicles 16:9 (NIV)
Isaiah 30:15
Isaiah 30:15-18
New International Version (NIV)
15 This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says:
“In repentance and rest is your salvation,
in quietness and trust is your strength,
but you would have none of it.
16 You said, ‘No, we will flee on horses.’
Therefore you will flee!
You said, ‘We will ride off on swift horses.’
Therefore your pursuers will be swift!
17 A thousand will flee
at the threat of one;
at the threat of five
you will all flee away,
till you are left
like a flagstaff on a mountaintop,
like a banner on a hill.”
18 Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the LORD is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!
God wants you…
The way you look at yourself can often be shaped by what others say about you…whether for good or bad. But God wants you to look at yourself for who you truly are: a child of His, created to fulfill a purpose here on earth. He doesn’t want you to think of yourself either too highly, nor too lowly than you really are. Pride can ensnare you, but low self-esteem can keep you from reaching your fullest potential.
God doesn’t compare you to those around you. He compares you to the potential that He has put within you. And that potential is often defined by how you act, or don’t act, “in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.”
So who is this God?

The Bright and Morning Star
His name is Emmanuel
